Identity formation is increasingly becoming a complicated affair, especially for migrant communities torn between maintaining their cultural roots and embracing the new society in which they live and the need to blend in it. The struggle is even harder for younger people who find themselves “sandwiched” between two cultural identities and wanting to satisfy social expectations from both sides even when these are pulling them from different directions, at times.
